The aim of MobiliTez-Vous! is to give young people a voice and enable them to understand their political roles.
The project involves gathering and putting forward proposals to improve mobility for all, by tackling a range of issues.
A group of 7 committed young people brought the project to life in conjunction with the project resource centre within a project team, whose main task was to guide and monitor the project. The 7,000 responses generated 30 proposals, which these young people and ESN France took to institutions and political decision-makers.
Our commitment on the ground was based on digital campaigns to mobilise people and encourage participation through two surveys and seven events:
– Period 1: nearly 1,500 responses
– Period 2: nearly 6,000 responses
By analysing the surveys with the support of a young graduate researcher, we were able to rely on current data. At the same time, our bibliographical research and active monitoring have enabled us to contribute key elements to the development of proposals on mobility.

The MobiliTez-Vous project was born out of meetings with more than 15,000 young French and international people in 2017, during our ‘Erasbus Tour’ of international mobility to mark the 30th anniversary of Erasmus+.
Based on the observation that the voice of young French and international people is currently little or poorly taken into account in the development of public policies on incoming and outgoing international mobility, we decided to go and meet them.
We wanted to facilitate their expression, put their views on the table and exchange views with experts in order to convey their observations, their needs and their ideas. The aim is to make young people's voices heard, so that they can participate in the co-construction of tomorrow's mobility policies.
Without claiming to be exhaustive, the project brings a new form of political participation to those who simply don't think about it or don't know how to go about it.
The challenge of MobiliTez-Vous! is to raise awareness among young people and enable them to understand their political roles.
Mobility is once again at the heart of the political agenda.
The COVID crisis that the whole world has been going through since the end of 2019 is leading us to think differently about our practices, but also reminds us of the strength of intercultural exchanges, the discovery of oneself and others, social links and the commitment of young people. The The Erasmus+ budget is increasing, new measures to welcome international students are being put in place, and the issues of inclusion and digital technology in international mobility programmes are being debated. So it's time to make our voice heard.
Let's go ahead and improve what can be improved by taking the voice of those who make it happen and who live it.
MobiliTez-Vous!Sébastien Lotte, president of ESN France (2020-2022)
ESN France mobilised to promote these 30 proposals by organising various events and inviting political decision-makers.
The organisation of a final meeting with the directors of the Erasmus+ agencies, ministries and associations such as the OFAJ (Office Franco-Allemand pour la Jeunesse) was one of the highlights of the project, in addition to the many national events that have taken place over the last few years.
To get young people even more involved in the project, various webinars were held to present the proposals.
